RE: kvm installation on CentOS7
Code:
# qemu-system-x86_64 -boot d -vnc :1 -cdrom /thinker/globe/DStorage/software/autation/releases/CentOS/7/ISO/CentOS-7.iso -m 4000 -hda /thinker/local/vms/cent716-kvm/vmdisk0

The installation of AutationISO by kvm looks good. I can view it through kvm.

Good to see the progress. +10d

About the official venue for seabios/kvm, goto their corresponding thread, and discuss there. There should be web site/mailing list/wiki, etc.

RE: kvm installation on CentOS7
kvm autation installation has spend more then 5 hours. This may due to wrong disk type is being selected. I will look into the disk IO issue after first vm is installed.

installation needs about 8hours, the reason maybe due to the disk IO is bad before tuning. Tested by dd, the write is about 56MBps ( by dd as network is not ready yet ). I will tune the IO by https://serverfault.com/questions/425607...https://serverfault.com/questions/425607/kvm-guest-io-is-much-slower-than-host-io-is-t first.

You may try something like this for the disk:

-drive file=./vdisk.img,if=virtio

This is to use paravirtualized driver for I/O http://www.linux-kvm.org/page/Virtio .

I am not sure whether it can improve I/O for our env, yet worth tries.

Not totally sure at the moment. I believe is the IO setting of disk as the speed of disk is far more slow than on PH. Therefore I will test on various IO settings first.

Code:
-drive file=./vdisk.img,if=virtio

This didn't improve the IO.
