[FR] nodelist enables reference to parts - zma - 02-27-2017 10:24 AM

nodelist has a tool to show all parts. Each has a record like:

HDD ST8000DM002 8TB 0.00 SFP20170201 SFS20160702 2017-00-00 zma zma SN: ZA13R82G edit

I suggest making some improvements:

1. In the Location field (SFS20160702 for this example), make it to be a link to the page displaying the location. for that example,

SFS20160702

<a href="http://ada.zettadom.com:11580/parts.php?location=SFS20160702">SFS20160702</a>

This will help us navigating/checking info of the parts.

2. Before the "edit" link, add a "show details" link to give a read-only page for showing detailed info of that part (like the page for showing details of a server/location).

The implementation can be to extend the editParts page (like http://ada.zettadom.com:11580/edit/editParts.php?id=550 ) to get an additional parameter "viewonly=..." which can be 1 or 0 (not set).

For the viewonly parameter:

* If it is 1 (like http://ada.zettadom.com:11580/edit/editParts.php?id=550&viewonly=1 ), the "submit" button is not shown. Instead, an "edit" link (like http://ada.zettadom.com:11580/edit/editParts.php?id=550&viewonly=0 ) is there.
* If it is 0, it is as it is now.

This will let us refer to that part by links in othe tools like TaB. So the readers can click to check details of a part.

Is it critical? If not, we'll wait till Agra is developed.

This is a FR just for convince and efficiency. Not something we must have soon.
