I cannot connect to VM (10.1.0.106) whose host is 10.1.0.14.

Perhaps 10.1.0.14 is down. I can't reach 10.1.0.14 from newton. This may not be fixed until Monday. You need to configure your dev environment to scale down to use one fewer VM before 10.1.0.14 is back.
